Video editing software for developing online courses

If you would like to start shooting educational videos for your learners or customers, you need video editing software. There are plenty of video editing programs out there suitable for beginners and those with little experience. In this post, I am covering six of video editing tools.
Including videos in your training, website or marketing campaign can make your content more attractive and accessible. Why? Numbers don’t lie – here are some stats:
  • 49% watch over 5 videos per day (up from 44% in 2018)
  • 67% use YouTube as their go-to for online video
  • 71% prefer to watch videos with the sound ON
  • 79% find video ads relevant to them
  • 80% watch Stories

Why people expect more content to be delivered in video format in 2020

There are various reasons behind these stats and growing expectations for video content in education and business:
Storytelling.

Peaching (as selling and marketing) is about telling stories and videos or animations are perfect for that.

Engagement.

People have a really short attention span. Videos provide more engaging content and keep people on your website longer.

Personal touch.

Featuring yourself in the video can help to personalise your training or product. People like the real person on the other side and video helps your audience to get to know, like and trust you.

Time.

Everyone is busy these days. Videos allow learners to consume content quickly and when it is needed.

If you would like to start shooting educational videos for your learners or customers, and you’re not a professional video editor, you need some easy video editing software. The good news is that there are plenty of video editing programs out there suitable for beginners and those with little experience. And even better news is that some of them are completely free!
