Learning project management:
Development of eight eLearning topics
for sustainability courses

Timeframe: Jan-Dec 2024
Client: 20Fifty Partners
Role: Learning Project Manager

In 2024, I had the pleasure of working with 20Fifty Partners as a Learning Development and Project Manager on a multi-layered eLearning project. The project goal was to develop a series of resources to complement the existing sustainability courses. Our objective was to provide learners with self-paced resources to guide them through the project, ultimately reducing the need for instructor involvement.

As the project lead, my responsibilities included planning the project roadmap, milestones, and steps and ensuring the availability of human resources and content for each stage. I served as the liaison between internal stakeholders, the development team, instructional designers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to keep the project running smoothly and efficiently.

The project culminated in the successful delivery of eight Articulate Storyline resources that seamlessly integrated with the existing sustainability courses on the Canvas LMS. These resources empowered learners to complete their final projects independently, reducing the demand on instructors and providing a more engaging and effective learning experience.

Design and development of Open Education Resources (OERs) for
'Writing Enriched Curriculum' project

Timeframe: Aug 2024
Client: NUIM
Role: Project Manager / Learning Designer

In 2024, I worked with the National University of Ireland Maynooth (NUIM) on developing Open Education Resources (OERs) for their 'Writing Enriched Curriculum' project. My primary goal was to assess and convert the source content into OERs aligned with NUIM's existing brand identity elements. The project involved creating a suite of open education resources in various formats, such as guides, infographics, and animations.

To kick off the project, I led discussions with the client to establish a clear approach and agree on the aesthetics for user guides, infographic templates, video transitions, and in-video visuals. This collaborative process helped ensure that the final products would meet the client’s expectations and maintain a consistent visual style.
After finalizing the project’s direction, I focused on designing prototypes for guides, videos and infographics. These prototypes served as a foundation for the production phase, during which my team and I worked diligently to create high-quality deliverables that effectively communicated the key concepts of the ‘Writing Enriched Curriculum’ project.
Throughout the production process, I collaborated closely with the panel of subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the content. This involved regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and iterations to refine the OERs and ensure they met the project’s objectives.
As the project neared completion, I oversaw the quality assurance and review process to guarantee that all deliverables met the highest educational content and visual design standards. Once approved, the OERs were published and delivered to NUIM, ready for integration into their ‘Writing Enriched Curriculum’ project.
In total, the project resulted in the creation of over 13 open education resources and guides, each designed to support and enhance the teaching and learning experience at NUIM. The success of this project demonstrates my ability to manage complex learning design projects, collaborate with clients and SMEs, and deliver high-quality educational content that aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives.
